18TH MAY 08
Congratulations to Lynne and Keith Vero on their Reserve CC with Brackenland Tanis at SKC, I am very proud of you, hopefully the first of many to follow.
My typing this afternoon is a little haphazard as one of my fingers has a little piece missing which was accidentally chopped into a salad I was making with one of those wonderful salad dicers!
The kittens are giving Mick extra work as we have had literally kittens on a hot tine roof above the kennels. Because they are still quite small two of them can slip between the wooden floor then climb up the sides and onto the roof where they then cry for help, they can actually get down themselves as we found out as we ran to their aid by climbing across the roof netting and shimmying down the sides.
Marley and Wichita are definitely looking better than they did a couple of weeks ago, although the more successful dieter is Marley simply because whenever she can Wichita throws herself across Marley’s food bowl and dares him to challenge her then gives me a scowling look when I rescue his bowl. Marley is even running a little of his own volition.
Ran managed to cut his leg this week which needed stitching by the vet – I do not think he will be going to Bath Championship show next weekend. Talking of which we have been looking at dog friendly transport and test drove a couple of different vehicles. One of which was the Citroen “Excellence” (so they say). We felt slightly different – it was a very good drive apart from the automatic gearbox which changed gear like a teenager learning to drive. It was not long before I felt rather car sick, even though I was driving – hence we are still looking!
Tantra has sprung up again and we took her shoe shopping earlier on this afternoon for new Crocs (a must have in the comfort zone) plus two other pairs of sandals for the summer. She is quite tall and is now wearing dresses for 8 year olds even though she will not be 7 until the end of July.
It is Shakedi’s birthday this Wednesday and her father Steve and his partner Helen are going out to Israel as a surprise for Carley and Eliran – I am sure she will be over the moon. Happy 2nd birthday Shakedi I hope you have a great day and we all miss you loads.
As it is a lovely afternoon I am going to make hay while the sun shines and
take the opportunity of cutting the grass whilst I can!!
